About the Project

Data Decision Lab: An Interactive Learning Activity for Developing Analytical Reasoning is a browser-based learning activity dedicated to degree-level students enrolled in the Information Analytics course at the Faculty of Information Science, Universiti Teknologi MARA Puncak Perdana, Selangor. This teaching innovation was developed with AI assistance to support educational pedagogy, i.e., to enrich learning delivery. Each short case of learning activity is linked to a learning topic. Based on the given short case, students mark an initial recommendation. The Data Decision Lab intelligent system will then prompt students with additional information based on the initial recommendation marked. Upon considering the additional information, students may decide whether to keep or revise their initial recommendation or answer with an explanation, i.e the reason behind their final decision, and receive feedback before selecting a brief acknowledgement remark. Students' responses are not graded as right or wrong. This short case-based learning activity is designed to develop students' reasoning capability and make analytical reasoning visible through students' recommendations and explanations.
