About the Project

Primary school students always face challenge in Malay essay writing. Most of the reasons are they cannot think about ideas to organize stories from a single-picture exam format. To fix this problem, Kit PEKA 2.0 was created as a fun learning tool for students. Instead of boring single pictures, Kit PEKA 2.0 uses comic strips with a clear story order to help students generate ideas and recall suitable words to be used in their essays. It also uses a simple sentence formula—[Who] + [Action] + [Sentence Expansion]—to help them write essays. Tests conducted with 20 students also showed improvements in essay writing, helping most students progress from weak to good levels. Overall, this innovation makes essay writing easy, fun, and effective.
