About the Project
The Smart Home Electricity Supply Control System Based on RFID Smart Card and WiFi for Residential Use was developed to improve electricity management, energy efficiency, and safety in modern homes. This innovation addresses energy wastage caused by occupants forgetting to switch off electrical appliances and the lack of automated access control and remote monitoring. The system integrates an RFID reader, relay module, I2C LCD display, buzzer, and WiFi technology using an ESP32 microcontroller. Its novelty lies in combining RFID authentication with remote monitoring and control via smart devices, ensuring that only authorised users can activate the main electrical supply. Prototype testing shows that the system operates reliably and allows users to control the electrical supply using a valid smart card or remotely. This innovation helps reduce energy wastage, improve electrical safety, and enhance user convenience. In conclusion, the system provides a practical solution for smarter, safer, and more energy-efficient residential electricity management.
