The Smart Sensory Busy Jacket is an innovative and interactive garment designed to provide sensory stimulation and encourage the development of fine motor skills among children, particularly those with sensory processing difficulties. This project transforms recycled denim materials into a functional and creative jacket incorporating various sensory elements, including colourful buttons, zippers, soft pom-poms, sequins, and different fabric textures. These features provide opportunities for children to explore different tactile sensations, practise hand-eye coordination, improve finger dexterity, and engage in meaningful hands-on activities. The jacket also promotes creativity, sustainability, and the reuse of textile materials by transforming old denim into a practical and attractive product.
