About the Project

A.E.G.I.S. solves the biggest hazard in space travel: cosmic radiation. Solar winds constantly bombard spacecraft with high-energy charged particles that instantly fry onboard electronics and cause fatal radiation sickness in astronauts. Our project, A.E.G.I.S., introduces an active electromagnetic shield controlled by smart onboard software. Instead of relying on heavy metal plating, we run electric currents to generate a live magnetic field that deflects these dangerous particles away. Astronauts can digitally adjust the shield’s power depending on solar storm alerts. This simple yet innovative tech protects crew health (SDG 3) and redefines aerospace infrastructure (SDG 9 & 13).
