About the Project

FinSight is a smart financial analytics platform supporting Financial Statement Analysis education through a standardised digital environment. It enables single-company analysis or comparisons across multiple years, integrating financial ratios, trend visualisation and diagnostic models, including Altman Z-score, Piotroski F-score and Beneish M-score. FinSight Assistant provides observations, evidence and investigation prompts, while Student Report Support reviews analytical coverage and offers writing guidance. By reducing repetitive calculations, FinSight helps students focus on interpretation, evaluation and evidence-based conclusions. Initial classroom use suggests potential for greater efficiency and consistency. Student judgement and lecturers’ final academic assessment remain central to the learning process.
