About the Project

The advancement of interactive technologies has created new opportunities to improve teaching, learning, and product presentation. However, conventional teaching methods that rely heavily on textbooks, printed notes, and static two-dimensional images may limit learners’ ability to visualise complex components and understand their structures. Similarly, traditional promotional displays may lack the interactivity needed to attract and engage audiences. To address these challenges, the Interactive Visual Animation project integrates a commercially available Hologram Display Fan with a self-developed Smart Glove to create an interactive three-dimensional (3D) visualisation system. The Hologram Display Fan uses Persistence of Vision (POV) technology to display floating 3D visuals developed using SketchUp software. The Smart Glove incorporates an ESP32 microcontroller, an MPU6050 gyroscope sensor, and three TTP223 touch sensors to detect hand movements and finger touches. These inputs are transmitted wirelessly via Bluetooth to control the holographic display. The project aims to provide a more engaging and innovative approach to information delivery, particularly in educational environments, exhibitions, promotional activities, and official launch events.
