About the Project

Nowadays, e-hailing has become one of the most common transportation services used by people of all ages because it is convenient, easy to access, and time-saving. However, conventional public transportation and e-hailing services may not fully accommodate people with disabilities (OKU), particularly those who require additional mobility equipment or special assistance. Transport equity and urban mobility index reported that about over 70% of conventional public and ride-hailing services fail to provide adequate accessibility for people with physical and sensory disabilities. To address this challenge, MoveAble is introduced as a specialized e-hailing platform designed for wheelchair users, individuals with walking difficulties, and members of the deaf or speech-impaired community. Its proposed features include secure user authentication, certified OKU-friendly drivers, cashless payments, real-time location tracking, and door-to-door assistance. By improving access to safe, convenient, and inclusive transportation, MoveAble aims to support greater independence and mobility without limits among people with disabilities , aligning with Sustainable Development Goal 10, which focuses on reducing inequalities.
