About the Project

Learning history in school is often perceived as a boring, text-heavy subject reliant on passive memorization. To address this, a custom Minecraft world based on open-access platform called MalaysiaCraft or MyCraft was developed to transform history education into an interactive 3D adventure for Year 6 students. MyCraft followed a five-stage development process from Planning to Pre-Launch. With positive user acceptance test results, MyCraft gamifies learning through exploration, interactive quizzes, and various multimedia assets. By shifting from passive to active learning, this zero-monetization tool fosters 21st-century skills like critical problem-solving and creativity while significantly boosting students' motivation and engagement.
