About the Project
In 2023, Malaysian MSMEs generated 39.1% of GDP and 48.5% of jobs (Department of Statistics Malaysia, 2025). Yet many micro-enterprises record sales in WhatsApp chats and paper receipts, leaving owners unable to track profit, foresee cash shortfalls or prove creditworthiness to lenders (OECD, 2026). Existing business intelligence tools suit larger firms, and smaller firms adopt AI more slowly due to limited skills and funds (Ayinaddis, 2025). However, digital footprints can predict loan default as well as bureau scores (Berg et al., 2020). NiagaPintar AI turns receipts and messages into dashboards, forecasts and a financing-readiness score through a bilingual app.
