About the Project

Ocean Guardian is an interactive educational game designed to raise awareness about Sustainable Development Goal 14 (SDG 14): Life Below Water. The project introduces environmental issues affecting marine ecosystems through engaging challenges that encourage players to learn while playing. The game consists of three missions. In Mission 1, players clean the ocean by identifying and removing rubbish while distinguishing sea creatures from non-marine objects. In Mission 2, players learn about sustainable fishing practices through an interactive activity using AprilTags. In Mission 3, players answer questions related to SDG 14 to rescue a sea turtle trapped underwater.
