S.M.A.R.T.-IPD: AI-Driven Spatial Modernization and Intelligent Facility Infrastructure for IPD Jeli Headquarters

About the Project

The District Police Headquarters are administrative and operational premises intended to provide public services, accommodate staff activities and support restricted functions. The proposed S.M.A.R.T.-IPD project investigates how integrating interior spatial planning with digital technologies could support visitor management, privacy and building energy management. The project aims to modernize IPD Jeli with smart interior design, improve security, visitor management and privacy with AI and IoT technologies, enhance energy efficiency with intelligent lighting and cooling systems and propose a smart and sustainable design approach for police headquarters. The proposed S.M.A.R.T.-IPD system is based on a dual-layer design approach that incorporates (i) physical interior architecture interventions and (ii) smart technology integration. The proposed solutions may benefit the public, police personnel and facility managers by creating a more organised, secure and user-responsive environment.
