SMART HOME AUTOMATION SYSTEMS

About the Project

This project develops simple and affordable smart home solutions to improve hygiene and plant care. An Intelligent Waste Management System uses an ultrasonic sensor and servo motor to open a dustbin automatically without physical contact. An IoT-Based Soil Moisture Monitoring System uses a soil moisture sensor to identify wet or dry soil and provides visual feedback through Micro:bit. The systems were designed, programmed, and tested using basic electronic components. The originality lies in combining practical household automation with student-friendly technology. The project promotes smarter living and supports SDG 9, SDG 11, and SDG 12.
